Shay Mitchellis Shay Mitchell is a Canadian actor, model and entrepreneur. Her best-known role is as Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After her accomplishments with modeling, dance as well as acting, she took acting classes. Mitchell landed some commercials as well as appearances in television series. The break came, however, when she played Emily Fields' role in Pretty Little Liars. Her performance was well-received for her talents by critics as well as fans. Mitchell was a student at Rockridge Secondary, before switching to West Vancouver Secondary. In her teens, Mitchell was already a model for companies in many countries. After traveling across the globe to Barcelona, Bangkok and Hong Kong she went back to Toronto and studied acting.
