Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox was able to live on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents aren't the same as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she thought about alternative options she could pursue. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band prior to her group being asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. From 1977 to 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she would form Pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva which was released in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs of her youth. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera which is a compilation of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to the art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you go... Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a politician. She sings. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some recognition in the 1970s. Then, she joined fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992 by releasing the album Diva. It featured many famous songs like the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and the song Why. Medusa the studio album, which was released in 1995, has versions of some of her biggest hits, such as No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her credits include the release of six studio albums on her own and a compilation.
